Matthew is one of the founding Principals of W&M Architects LLP. A qualified architect, he was educated at Canterbury School of Architecture. After graduation he worked for Powell & Moya, a renowned international architectural practice with high profile projects in many countries and award-winning work for Oxford and Cambridge Universities.
He has been involved in a number of high profile projects for prominent clients including Reuters, the Foreign & Commonwealth Office, Network Rail, HM Customs & Excise, Cyprus Popular Bank, The Science Museum, and BP Oil International. Matthew has taught at the University of East London and Waltham Forest College, is a voluntary architectural advisor with British Executive Service Overseas and East London Advanced Technology Training, is a guest lecturer on restaurant design at Leith's School of Cookery and was an adviser to the EU LibeRTiN Light Rail Study Project.
The practice has always attracted a diverse portfolio of clients, projects and locations – something that Matthew has actively encouraged. A number of projects have been published in the architectural and lay press and several design awards gained.
